The Pittsburgh Steelers have had a week one to forget following a brutal loss, and injury update leaving multiple starters out as we approach week two.

One of them is Pro Bowl WR Diontae Johnson, who may be out of commission for a few weeks.

In an effort to try and replace his talents, Pittsburgh will be splitting up the division of labor internally, but they won't rule out adding help from outside the building:

'We won't turn a Blind Eye"

"Obviously, we won't turn a blind eye to the outside, that's just appropriate business," Coach Tomlin said in regards to adding help after Heyward and Johnson's injuries. "But we're also comfortable with the depth and the competition that we've been able to assemble here in team building."

And while it wasn't a blockbuster trade, the Steelers already made moves on Tuesday, signing one WR and releasing two others from their practice squad:

And we have reason to believe there is a real possibility Pittsburgh continues to add external resources, especially when you consider the short, but active history that GM Omar Khan has when it comes to player acquisition.

That's because, I don't know about you, but elevating guys from practice squads or signing undrafted free agents certainly won't fill the void left by Diontae Johnson in my opinion.

And Pittsburgh can ill-afford to lose many more games this early in the season, already behind the eight ball with a divisional opponent coming to town on primetime this Monday. So unless DJ is back sooner than later, don't be surprised if we see some phone calls being made by Pittsburgh.
