It's hard to believe, but the Pittsburgh Steelers are nearly at the halfway mark of the season.
So what better time than now to review where the team stands.
Here is the midseason grade for the Steelers offense, defense, and special teams at the halfway mark.
Offense: C-
The offenses' struggles, and more specifically the ineptitude of Matt Canada are beyond a talking point, with most of the nation understanding that Pittsburgh can do better at play-caller.
But if you watched the Titans game on Thursday, and many of the games before that, then you know that Kenny has struggled at times to hit open targets.
And yes, I know he was playing with injured ribs, and I for one think that wasn't a big enough talking point given his play down this stretch, as he was still able to display his clutch gene.
But the offense simply hasn't executed enough, even if the man calling the plays isn't exactly Vince Lombardi.
Defense: A+
A unit that is second in the league in takeaways at 16, Pittsburgh has been able to turn their opponent over in nearly every game this season, even if they didn't get the W.
This team wouldn't be 5-3, much less above .500 if not for the likes if Watt, Highsmith, and others.
Special Teams: A
The Boz, Chris Boswell has been fantastic this year, only missing a 60+ yarder in swirling winds on a cool and rainy day in Pittsburgh vs. Jacksonville.
And while Pressley Harvin has been up and down as a punter, the Steelers coverage teams have been solid, if not good, ranking in the top 10 in Kick & Punt Returns Against and Kicking Against.
