The Pittsburgh Steelers lost their opportunity to make the playoffs at the end of the regular season. Now, they could lose a member of their coaching staff.

Senior defensive assistant and linebackers coach Brian Flores is being interviewed this week for the head coaching vacancy of the Arizona Cardinals.

Flores is no stranger to being the top guy to lead an NFL team. He was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins for three seasons (2019-2021) compiling a 24-25 record.

After being relieved of his duties, Flores shocked the NFL world by filing a 58-page lawsuit against the Dolphins, New York Giants, and Denver Broncos claiming that there was discrimination while Flores interviewed for those head coaching jobs and also with the Dolphins before he left.

Flores was hired by the Steelers last February and it paid off right away. The Steelers finished 13th in total defense, ninth in turnover differential, and were tied for the NFL lead with 20 interceptions.

The only question now is whether or not that was enough to get Flores back in the driver's seat for an NFL franchise.
