The Pittsburgh Steelers' initial 2022 roster is in the books. Although there will be additional moves as the team places injured players on IR, this is the starting point for a team aiming to pull off a surprise in a loaded AFC North.

Before we get into the roster, here are a few quick notes on Pittsburgh's squad:

• Mason Rudolph was not traded after all. The Steelers are carrying three QBs for the time being.
• Calvin Austin should be headed to IR, which opens up a spot – even if temporary – for Steven Sims.
• Connor Heyward's a fun wild card on the field. He did a little bit of everything throughout training camp and will likely earn a significant game-day role in the regular season. He even lined up at fullback this preseason!
