Just when you thought the Pittsburgh Steelers were down bad, they get hit with a massive blow.

Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Media, Steelers All-Pro Cam Heyward is expected to miss a significant amount of playing time:

Update

What does it Mean?

Heyward is the heart and soul of the defense and team in general. His absence will be felt throughout the locker room especially if he goes to the injured reserve, which is a real possibility according to sources.

The offense may have been flat on Sunday and the defense may have looked like a sieve in the running game, but if Heyward is out for any amount of time it will only make matters worse.

The onus is now on Keeanu Benton, DeMarvin Leal, and Isaaiah Loudermilk to step up and do their best to fill this massive void until Heyward returns to health.
