They say life can come at you fast in the NFL. One minute you're riding high, the next, everyone is ready to ship you out of town.
Well, last Sunday morning, the Steelers were 7-4 and had two upcoming games against a pair of opponents that had four wins combined.
But after dropping both of those contests, the Steelers just made history, and not the good kind:
Steelers Hit Rock Bottom
If this statistic doesn't sum up the current state of the Steelers I'm not sure what does. One of the proudest franchises in the league, Pittsburgh is known for setting positive records.
You know, accolades like the highest number of Super Bowls, Pro Bowlers, and Hall of Famers.
Instead, the 2023 version is making history, but for all the wrong reasons.
And to make matters worse, not only has Pittsburgh dropped two straight against teams that should have been layups, they have knocked themselves out of playoff contention, with a tough stretch ahead:
A final month of the season that includes matchups with the Colts, Bengals, Seahawks, and Ravens, Pittsburgh now has their back against the wall, in must-win scenarios, against better completion and without their starting QB.
Tomlin's Steelers have always preferred to be the hunters compared to the hunted, but im not sure if this edition of the Steelers is capable of going back to camp with any pelts on the wall.
