One of the more fascinating parts of free agency is watching the way teams divvy up their cap space.

When the doors open, there are plenty of new faces that can be used as upgrades for your team.

But sometimes, staying true to what you know matters more, and the Pittsburgh Steelers have proved as much with their latest move:

Steelers re-sign Montravius Adams

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, The Pittsburgh Steelers have decided to re-sign veteran defensive tackle Montravius Adams to a two-year deal, with the value currently unknown.

A seven-year vet, Adams was drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, where he played the duration of his rookie contract before a short stint in New Orleans that would lead to his final destination with the Steelers.

The big nose tackle has found his groove with Pittsburgh, recording career highs in games played, starts, and tackles since joining the team in 2021.

Adams will likely go back to being a rotational piece, as rookie sensation Keeanu Benton settles into his second year as the team's starting nose tackle.

Regardless, he is a solid depth piece that Pittsburgh doesn't have to second guess when it comes to how he will fit.
