The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing to face a hot Houston Texans on Sunday.

Traveling back across the country to face a team coming off a big win against the Jaguars, Pittsburgh isn't taking their opponent lightly.

But following some comments from Texans rookie QB CJ Stroud, the defense and T.J. Watt in particular may have just received some extra motivation:

"They Gotta Play Us Too"

“He’s a great player," Stroud told reporters when asked about Watt. Both 90 [T.J. Watt] and 56 [Alex Highsmith]. Two dogs…[Watt’s] probably the best defensive player in the league other than Micah Parsons and a couple other guys that are standing out in the league right now. Gotta be aware of them but at the same time, we’ve gotta have confidence in what we’re doing. They gotta play us too. We’re not going to just lay down and submit because he’s the best player.”

Now I like the confidence from Stroud. If I was spinning the ball he was the last couple of weeks, I would have that same confidence too.

But T.J. Watt is the last player you want to toss a bone to, especially in light of the recent news surrounding arguably the Texans' best player

And maybe T.J. will think nothing of it. In fact, I doubt he pays too much attention to anything media-related during the week.

But let's get one thing straight. No one is domiamnting opposing offensive lines the way Watt is. He's on pace for 34 sacks this season. That's a hilarious sentence to even type, as even a third of that number would be a great NFL season.

So yes, CJ is right. Pittsburgh has play them too. But in case he didn't know, one of, if not the league's best defense is coming to town, and now they have a little extra to work off of.
