Nothing went right for Brock Purdy in the San Francisco 49ers' Christmas Day loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
But the 49ers' quarterback did at least end a long wait for the franchise by reaching a milestone in their 33-19 defeat.
Purdy endured his worst game of the season in a battle of number one seeds, tossing four interceptions before eventually leaving with a recurrence of a stinger. He is expected to be fine to face the Washington Commanders on New Year's Eve.
But Purdy also threw for 255 yards, taking him beyond the 4,000-yard mark for the season.
In doing so he became the first 49ers quarterback to reach that tally since Jeff Garcia in 2000.
Purdy's MVP hopes suffered a tremendous blow with his performance and he won't be in any kind of mood to celebrate his counting stats. Still, even on the most disappointing of nights, Purdy continues to make history for the 49ers.
