Needing a road victory over the Seattle Seahawks to take firm control of the NFC West and move up to the two seed in the conference, the San Francisco 49ers leant on their best offensive player.
The trade for Christian McCaffrey last season weaponized Kyle Shanahan's offense and he was once again a history-making workhorse as the 49ers improved to 8-3 with a 31-13 victory at Lumen Field, which sees them go two games up on Seattle in the division and leapfrog the Detroit Lions into second spot in the NFC.
Seattle rarely had an answer for the 49er run game as McCaffrey continually shredded the Seahawks' run defense with 139 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns.
His pair of rushing scores took him to 11 on the ground for the season to go with his five touchdown receptions.
It is a double that sees him become the fifth player in NFL history and first in 48 years to score at least 10 rushing touchdowns and five receiving touchdowns in the first 11 games of a season. Chuck Foreman and O.J. Simpson were the last players to achieve that feat during the 1975 season.
San Francisco now has a winning record on Thanksgiving, with the 49ers improving to 3-2-1 in games played on the holiday.
First-half observations as the 49ers lead the Seahawks 24-3
Utter dominance.
