The 49ers won't be taking the Rams lightly in Week 2 after Los Angeles blew out the Seahawks in their own building.

But the Vegas oddsmakers aren't buying into Rams revival, with the 49ers heavily favored to stretch their regular-season winning streak against Los Angeles to nine games.

The Niners, per betonline.ag, opened as 6.5-point favorites on the road at SoFi Stadium. Money has clearly quickly poured in on the 49ers, with the line stretching to eight points.

San Francisco will be wary of what looked to be a revitalized Matthew Stafford, who threw for 334 yards against the Seahawks despite not having Cooper Kupp at his disposal.

However, the 49ers' defense will give Stafford a much tougher time than what he experienced against the Seahawks, who managed only 11 pressures in Week 1, according to Pro Football Focus.

The 49ers racked up 28 in a dominant 30-7 win over the Steelers, whom they held to just 3.9 yards per play while sacking Kenny Pickett five times and intercepting him twice.

With the talent the 49ers have at all three levels of the defense, they should make it considerably difficult for the Rams to keep up with a San Francisco offense that hit the ground running in Pittsburgh with its plethora of explosive and versatile playmakers.

The Rams deserve great credit for their win in Seattle, but all the signs, including what will likely be an arena packed with 49ers fans who have turned SoFi Stadium into a second home, point to a very different outcome in Week 2.

San Francisco will take nothing for granted, but the large point spread for the latest edition of this recently one-sided rivalry feels justified.
