George Kittle's way of celebrating the San Francisco 49ers' win over the Dallas Cowboys did in fact end up hurting his wallet.
Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the NFL decided to fine Kittle $13,699 for revealing a t-shirt that read 'F*** Dallas' during San Francisco's 42-10 blowout of the Cowboys.
The fine won't make much difference for a player who after this season will still have two years remaining on a five-year, $75 million contract. And it is unlikely to deter Kittle in the future.
Responding to Micah Parsons' criticism of his actions, Kittle told KNBR that he would happily wear the shirt again should the 49ers and Cowboys meet in the postseason.
Though there is a long way to go in the season, the 5-0 49ers are as it stands on course for a first-round bye in the NFC playoffs. At 3-2, the Cowboys would be a Wild Card team if the season ended today.
Kittle might be keen to give his t-shirt a second outing, while Parsons has vowed to exact revenge in another playoff rematch, but there's no guarantee either will get the chance this season.
