As part of their 5-0 start, the 49ers have already rattled off two road wins, quickly silencing the Pittsburgh crowd in their Week 1 victory over the Steelers and then prevailing at SoFi Stadium against the Rams in another game that saw San Francisco fans take over in Los Angeles.

This Sunday's Week 6 clash with the Browns in Cleveland arguably represents the biggest test they have faced away from home this season.

However, the point spread suggests a widespread opinion that the 49ers will come through it with relative ease. The early line for the game had the Niners as 4.5-point favorites, that has now shifted to 5.5 points.

The Browns, despite being 2-2, have shown plenty of promise this season on the defensive side of the ball. Cleveland ranks first in DVOA on defense, boasts an extremely talented front led by Myles Garrett and a deep secondary that has shown an ability to survive injuries.

But the line movement is likely to be more of a reflection of the uncertainty at the quarterback position for the Browns, along with increased confidence in the 49ers after their blowout of the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Deshaun Watson's participation is in doubt due to a shoulder injury that forced rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson to start their Week 4 game with the Ravens. The Browns lost 28-3.

Reports this week suggest that P.J. Walker will be the starting quarterback against the 49ers if Watson is again unavailable.

So it will either be Walker or Watson, who has again largely struggled this season, coming off a shoulder injury against a 49er defense that throttled Dak Prescott and the Cowboys in primetime.

While the Browns figure to pose a stern test for Brock Purdy and a San Francisco offense averaging 33.4 points per game, the matchup on the other side of the ball looks to be weighted heavily in favor of the 49ers. Because of that, it would be no surprise to see the spread get significantly bigger before kickoff on Sunday.
