Brock Purdy has his doubters, but they are growing smaller in number as he continues to deliver victories for the 49ers and reach new milestones in his still young career.

With his touchdown pass to Kyle Juszczyk in the fourth quarter of the 49ers' rout of the Cowboys, Purdy achieved another individual first.

It marked his fourth touchdown pass of another outstanding performance, marking the first time he has reached that tally in a single game.

It was no more than Purdy deserved for a tremendous showing in which he demonstrated hugely impressive accuracy, shredding a Cowboys defense that had only given up 41 points over the course of their first four games for 42 before his backup Sam Darnold came into the game with the job well and truly done.

Purdy finished 17 of 24 for 252 yards and his four scores, earning a passer rating of 144.4.

The night started with NBC color analyst Cris Collinsworth saying Purdy was in the MVP discussion. Those comments look a lot less outlandish after this display.
