2024 five-star defensive lineman Dominick McKinley planned to officially visit the Tennessee Vols in late January before the traditional signing period in February.

But that visit is no longer happening.

Just after the clock struck midnight early Monday morning, McKinley flipped his commitment from Texas A&M to LSU.

McKinley, the No. 6 defensive lineman in the 2024 recruiting class, is from Lafayette, LA. The Tigers were always the favorites to land the talented defender, but the Vols were still hoping they could pull off a coup and land McKinley.

The five-star recruit's mother confirmed to 247Sports that he won't take his official visit to Tennessee on January 24.

McKinley's brother, Darryus, is a four-star defensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class. He also holds an offer from Tennessee. But LSU, unsurprisingly, is the early favorite to land the the younger McKinley.
