The Washington Commanders are currently holding onto the final wild card spot in the NFC. However, their lead has shrunk to just a half-game after their last second loss to the Giants.

The Lions are one of the hottest teams in the league and look poised to take the Commander's spot unless they can start winning games again.

The Commanders now head to San Francisco to play the red-hot 49ers in a crucial week 16 showdown.

The 49ers have won seven games in a row and are 3-0 since Brock Purdy took over for Jimmy Garoppolo. 

While Taylor Heinicke has had his moments since becoming the starter, this Commander's offense is built on the ground game.

Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson are a formidable duo, but this 49er's defense has been elite all year.

The 49ers are the best run-stopping team in the NFL, and teams have had trouble getting anything going on the ground against them. If Washington wants to win this game, Heinicke must make a few big plays with his arm.

I think the key to this game will be Pro-Bowler Terry McLaurin. Washington will need to get him the ball and get him the ball often, as he has been their best offensive weapon all year.

Heinicke has shown he can make big-time plays when it matters, and I expect him to do just that Saturday.
