The Madness continues Thursday and Friday nights as the tournament has reached the regional stage after the weekend saw top seeds advance.
All four 1-seeds, 2-seeds advanced to their respective regional sites, while two of the four 3-seeds (Kentucky, Baylor) got bounced in the opening weekend. With so many college basketball powerhouses avoiding the Cinderella upsets, the matchups setting up for an epic four days.
Thursday the West region starts us off in Los Angeles with 2-seed Arizona (-7.5) facing 6-seed Clemson, followed by 1-seed North Carolina (-4.5) against high-flying 4-seed Alabama.
The East region tips Thursday night starting with the tournament's overall top seed and defending national champ UConn (-10.5) in a rematch of last year's title game against 5-seed San Diego State in Boston. 2-seed Iowa State (-2.5) vs 3-seed Illinois follow.
The powerhouse matchups continue Friday night in the South region with 2-seed Marquette (-6.5) facing the red hot 11-seed NC State, which is riding a seven game tournament win-streak from the ACC Tournament. 1-seed Houston (-4.5) takes on 4-see blue blood Duke afterward.
The Midwest region starts with national big man, Zach Edey and 1-seed Purdue (-5.5) against 5-seed Gonzaga. The Sweet 16 night cap is 2-seed Tennessee (-2.5) vs mid-major stud 3-seed Creighton.
