The No. 1 ranked Bulldogs are all-in for yet another National Championship run. They have arguably the best quarterback in the nation in Carson Beck – who has an elite offensive line in front of him and weapons such as Dominic Lovett and Benjamin Yurosek at his disposal. Georgia also boasts a very good defense but could be more productive registering sacks.

As for No. 14 Clemson, it also possesses one of the top defensive units in the nation. The Tigers defense should keep them in most games this season but is facing the ultimate test right off the bat against Georgia. Offensively, Quarterback Cade Klubnik will need to show some serious progression from last year if Clemson is going to get into the College Football Playoff mix.

Although I can envision a slow start for Georgia in this matchup, it should put it all together in the second half and pull away to cover the 11.5 point spread. I also like the over on the 48.5-point total.
