TAMPA BAY – The NFL’s schedule release is just hours away, but that didn’t stop one of the Buccaneers’ biggest matchups of the season from coming out ahead of time.

Per the Tampa Bay Times‘ Rick Stroud, the Buccaneers will host the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football during Week 4 of the 2022 season. It’s a Super Bowl LV rematch that also features arguably the two best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Brady and Mahomes have faced off five times over the course of their respective careers and Brady currently leads the series, 3-2. This includes two postseason victories in the form of the 2019 AFC Championship game and Super Bowl LV.

In terms of the entire Buccaneers-Chiefs history, Tampa Bay holds an 8-6 all-time series lead.
