We're just 24 hours from kickoff as the Cincinnati Bengals look to make it five wins in a row, but they'll have to get past the ascending Houston Texans to get there.

Though one franchise is considerably younger than the other, there is some interesting with this matchup. Houston defeated Cincinnati in the playoffs in back-to-back years from 2011-12. In 2015, the Bengals' eight-game win streak to start the year was snapped by the Texans in primetime. The most recent meeting in 2020 went in favor to the Bengals despite Brandon Allen having to start for an injured Joe Burrow.

Sunday promises to be another intriguing meeting between both teams. Here's what you need to know before kickoff.

Buckeyes face off

You may not have predicted it back in September, but Joe Burrow vs. C.J. Stroud is arguably the top quarterback matchup of Week 10.

Burrow has put up top-of-the-line numbers since fully recovering from his calf injury, and Stroud has played efficient football for the first eight games of his career. The second-overall pick has taken many by surprise by being this good this early.

Cincinnati won't take him lightly after he torched the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for 470 yards and five touchdowns last week.

Standings outlook

Despite being two games over .500, the Bengals remain in last place in the AFC North due to tiebreakers with the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. A win would only advance them up in the standings if the Browns lose to the Baltimore Ravens, or if the Steelers lose to the Green Bay Packers.

The Bengals do have a current spot in the AFC Playoff Picture as the No. 7 seed, while the Texans are just one game back and in the hunt.
