On Friday afternoon, fans of the Kansas City Chiefs, and other football fans around the world, found out that the AFC Championship game would be held at a neutral site this season due to the events that have transpired this last week.
The Kansas City Chiefs could very well clinch the number one seed on Saturday with a win over the Raiders, but, that really won't matter, as it seems the AFC Championship game won't be in Arrowhead anyways, for the first time in over four years.
Now, everyone has been listing possible cities or stadiums that could host the game, and one in particular that everyone keeps suggesting is Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium, where the Colts play.
On Friday afternoon, we found out that the city declined to host the game, for two main reasons.
First of all, the city of Indianapolis claimed that they already have Lucas Oil booked, so there would be absolutely no way they could. Secondly, they would have no hotel space for all of the fans that would come to the city, per Fox 59 Indiana.
So, there are still other places being thrown out like Nashville, Las Vegas, etc. The good thing about this is, the Chiefs don't have to play on the turf.
