The Kansas City Chiefs now have some clarity on the situation surrounding WR Justyn Ross

Ross has been on the Commissioner's Exempt List since he was arrested on allegations of domestic violence. His charges have since been dropped and his case diverted, which has allowed the NFL to proceed with their investigation into the matter.

Upon completion of their investigation, the league decided to suspend Ross for six games for violating the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy. His suspension is retroactive to the moment he was placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List, which means he'll serve the final week of his suspension in the Week 14 game against the Buffalo Bills. He must remit all game checks

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Ross will return to the Chiefs on Monday after Sunday’s game against the Bills.

Ross, 23, is a former 2022 undrafted free agent out of Clemson. He received a red-shirt year recovering from a foot injury last season. He made the 53-man roster outright in 2023, but he hadn't seen much action before his placement on the Commissioner's Exempt List. He has just three receptions for 34 yards on the year.

The Chiefs will need to clear a roster space for Ross when he's removed from the exempt list. However, expect the commissioner to grant the team a roster exemption in order to give them time to coordinator what that move might be.
