The Kansas City Chiefs can officially rule one thing out – Frank Clark, their best postseason defensive player ever, will not be back
Sure, the Chiefs cut him, so there was always the reality of the situation that he wouldn't be back. However, there was also always the rumor that he could come back on a cheaper deal.
He's still in the AFC West, though; he's just on the dark side
On Thursday, it was announced that the Broncos signed Frank Clark on a one-year deal up to $7 million but with a base salary of $5.5 million. Clark will be playing for the Chiefs' biggest rival in the history of their franchise and will be trying to end the long losing streak the Broncos have against his former team.
This won't change the dynamic of the relationships he has with players on the Chiefs – we just saw him at the White House living his best life. He took some selfies with Chris Jones and Khalen Saunders.
As a guy who has done so much for the Chiefs franchise, you're really just happy he is happy and is getting his money.
