For Travis Kelce, he is taking full advantage of his increased fame.
Along with being the top tight end in the National Football League right now, he is also transitioning to acting.
Kelce landed a role in Ryan Murphy’s FX Series Grotesquerie.
So he was asked a very important question during his Thursday morning interview on Good Morning America: Are you an actor now?
"I guess you can say that," Kelce said. "I've been on a few shows before. I've only played myself in those shows though. Definitely different portraying a character and trying to find the emotion in everything, and understanding of the script and the scene.
"It's a challenge. I feel like an amateur right now. But I'm coachable. That's one thing I know from being in sports, I'm a coachable guy."
Since his relationship with Taylor Swift went public, Kelce has gone from just a name into the NFL to a worldwide star. And prior to the tight end landing Grotesquerie, he had a very successful night hosting Saturday Night Live in March.
Kelce's 'acting' career began in 2016 when he had his own reality television show, Catching Kelce. But now he's back, and along with FX's show, he has signed on to host Amazon’s Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? game show.
This is also a potential career path for Kelce once he decides to hang up his cleats. While he still has a few years left, it's always important to start thinking about what's next. And his brother, Jason Kelce, is going from a star center to tv analyst after announcing his retirement after the 2023 season. So while he might go in a different direction, it seems he will be in front of the camera.
Here is the trailer and plot for Grotesquerie:
“Lois, an experienced detective with a seemingly flawless facade, finds herself grappling with inner turmoil while delving into the case of a brutal serial killer. As she digs deeper, she begins to entertain the unsettling possibility that the perpetrator may be more than human, perhaps even demonic in nature,” @AHS_Source on X wrote.
