A Kansas City Chiefs legend is set to be honored in multiple ways this weekend.

During the Week 7 tilt with the Los Angeles Chargers, Dante Hall will be honored both ahead of the game and during it. He'll serve as the team's Drum Leader on the GEHA Drum Deck, getting Chiefs Kingdom ready to take on an AFC West foe. During halftime, he'll be inducted into the Chiefs' Ring of Honor & Hall of Fame.

Whether you know him as “X-Factor” or “The Human Joystick”, Hall's mark on the franchise's history was indelible. The former fifth-round draft pick out of Texas A&M spent seven seasons with the Chiefs from 2000-2006, appearing in 97 games with the franchise. Every time he touched the football, he was a threat to make something magical happen, with his elite brand of quickness on full display.

Hall made his mark in Kansas City playing special teams. He was named to two consecutive Pro Bowls and All-Pro teams in 2002-2003. He was AFC Special Teams Player of the Week seven times, which is good for the most of any player in franchise history. Hall also landed a first-team selection on the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team as a punt returner and a second-team selection on the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team as a kick returner. Hall's 12,356 combined yards on offense and special teams still rank first in franchise history. He's also the only player in franchise history to have returned a kick and a punt for a touchdown in the same game (Chiefs-Rams, Dec. 8, 2002).

"My family and I are delighted to announce Dante as this year's inductee into the Chiefs Hall of Fame," Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt said, via press release in April. "It's not every day you get to witness a generational talent at the returner position, but Chiefs Kingdom was blessed to witness Dante's talent for seven seasons. His quickness, agility and pure athleticism as a returner and wide receiver cemented him as one of the franchise's greats. Following his playing career, Dante joined the Kansas City Ambassador program and has been an active participant in the brand's international expansion efforts. We are looking forward to celebrating Dante's Hall of Fame induction at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium this fall."

Hall is also eligible for selection to the Pro Football Hall of Fame class of 2024.

Week 7's game will serve as the Chiefs' annual "Legends Game." Nearly 80 Chiefs alumni are scheduled to be present for Hall's induction into the Ring of Honor, as well as the team’s annual "Legends Game" festivities.
