The Kansas City Chiefs would love to draft a wide receiver in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft to replace Tyreek Hill, who was traded to the Miami Dolphins earlier this offseason.
Kansas City, however, isn't going to take just any wide receiver. They specifically have their eyes on a couple of speedy wide receivers in the first round (KC has the No. 29 and No. 30 picks in the first round).
According to a report from Pro Football Network's Tony Pauline, the Chiefs want to either draft Ohio State wide receiver Chris Olave or they want to trade up for Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams.

From PFN:
The belief is that the Kansas City Chiefs will take defensive end Boye Mafe and a receiver with their two selections late in Round 1, but could they use both choices on defensive prospects? The answer is yes, from what I’m told.
If Chris Olave is not available and they can’t trade up for WR Jameson Williams, sources close to the Chiefs tell me Washington cornerback Kyler Gordon is being seriously considered with one of those two picks.
I think we know the Chiefs' entire first-round strategy after this report. They really aren't trying to hide anything. Kansas City needs a pass rusher and they need another wide receiver. It makes sense that those are their top two priorities.
But at the same time, the Chiefs aren't going to take a player just because they have a need. If one of their top targets at those positions isn't available, then Kansas City will go with the best player available.
When it comes to trading up for Williams, I think this is a scenario where Kansas City will consider trading up only if Williams falls past the top 10 or 15. At that point, I think the Chiefs would be willing to trade up since it wouldn't cost nearly as much as trading into the top 10.
Numerous teams in this draft want to trade down (according to a recent report from Adam Schefter), so the Chiefs should have plenty of options if they decide they want to move up in the draft to select Williams.
