The Kansas City Chiefs have been all over the news as of late for the things they have done in the off-season. It all started with the signing of Justin Reid. This was big news because it kind of signified that the Chiefs would not bring back Tyrann Mathieu.

Then, the Chiefs signed JuJu Smith-Schuster. This was huge for the fanbase as everyone knew Kansas City needed another receiver. However, shortly after that, the Chiefs traded Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins. As of late, that's all the talk of the league has been.

However, there have been other developments for the Chiefs since the Hill trade. Most recently, the signing of Taylor Stallworth. The Chiefs still need help on the defensive line, and their newest signee can be a great rotational piece for what exactly they need.

Chiefs sign defensive lineman Taylor Stallworth

The Chiefs have signed Taylor Stallworth, a player that is only in his fourth year and has been an ultimate pro. With no problems off the field, he has been a big problem on the field for opposing offensive linemen.

The former Colts defensive lineman has proven himself through limited opportunities over the years. Now, he gets a chance to really make an impression in Kansas City.

Stallworth's best year was in 2021. He finished with 16 tackles, 12 quarterback hits, four tackles-for-loss, and three sacks, all while only starting one game and playing just 33% of defensive snaps.

The 26-year-old defensive tackle has an enormous amount of potential. Playing for the Chiefs will help Stallworth develop a bit more. Especially because he is learning behind one of the best at his position in Chris Jones.

Taylor Stallworth has one thing that doesn't benefit him, and it's a big reason as to why he went undrafted. The 305 pounder is only 6-foot-2, which is very short for his position. The average height for an NFL defensive lineman is 6'5". However, players like Grady Jarrett on the Atlanta Falcons have been amazing, even with being undersized.

The Chiefs will have some good rotational pieces on their defensive line in the upcoming season and who knows, maybe Stallworth will become more than just a rotational player.
