Tennessee Vols baseball coach Tony Vitello went viral on Tuesday night during UT's 5-0 loss to the LSU Tigers.
Vitello, who is no stranger to going viral (remember that chest bump in 2022), was all over social media during Tuesday night's game thanks to an odd action he took in the dugout.
At one point during Tennessee's loss to LSU, Vitello must have felt like the energy in the dugout was lacking because he took all of the stools that were in the dugout and laid them on their side.
Outkick.com's Trey Wallace pointed out that Vitello's move with the stools was reminiscent of the late Mike Leach's decision to do the same thing during a game last season with the chairs that Mississippi State's wide receivers were using to sit in on the sidelines.
Here's the clip of Leach doing the same thing last season.
Unfortunately for the Vols, Vitello's move with the stools didn't spark Tennessee's offense. The Vols managed just six hits and no runs against LSU's pitching staff.
Tennessee fell short of their ultimate goal, but they'll return to Knoxville as the winners of at least one College World Series game by virtue of their 6-4 win against Stanford on Monday afternoon.
