On Thursday, it was announced that the Chicago Bears will officially be showcased on the HBO documentary series Hard Knocks during training camp ahead of the 2024 season.

It's a great opportunity for the outside fans to get a look at a rising team leading up to the next season and the crew couldn't have picked a better team to follow.

As we all know, the Bears have completely overhauled the roster over the last few months, adding in some new fresh faces to an already tight locker room. Now, we'll get an opportunity to see how things look on the inside and those inside the building at Halas Hall couldn't be more excited for the opportunity.

"I'm excited for our players to get a chance to tell some of their stories, " special teams coordinator Richard Hightower said following the team's practice on Friday. "I'm excited about all the new things. It's an opportunity and I hope that people around the world get a chance to really get to know some of our guys because we got a good culture here and have some really good guys."

Not only will the Bears be featured on Hard Knocks, the team will also be getting an extra preseason game that will be featured on the documentary in the Hall of Fame game against the Houston Texans and an international game in London during the upcoming season. All of these events showcase that things are rapidly changing in Chicago and the national media is beginning to take notice and wanting to see more.

"I think it's going to be exciting," linebacker Tremaine Edmunds said. "It shows that we've got something brewing here, everybody wants to see what's going on. Just showing the world what we're about and the high level execution that we have."

The Bears will have two returning stars on Hard Knocks who are eager to get back in the spotlight, head coach Matt Eberflus and running back D'Andre Swift. Eberflus was featured on the show in 2021 while serving as the Indianapolis Colts' defensive coordinator and Swift was on the show in 2022 with the Detroit Lions.

"We had a real positive attitude about it," Eberflus explained about his first experience on Hard Knocks. "We know that we had good people in the building and our message was going to be, who we are and how we operate. No one changes how they act, no one changes what they do, we just focus on our job."

Of course the main part of the show everyone is looking forward to is seeing how each of the various players operate and learning more about their stories that led them to the Chicago Bears this season.

"They're gonna have a special interest stories that they that they do, which I think are some of them are pretty good," Eberflus added. "We have a lot of [those] here in this building, so I'm excited about seeing that."

As for Swift, he'll get the opportunity to return to the show with a new team while showing off everything the Chicago Bears have to offer, on and off the field.

"It's a good outlook for the city as far as bring eyes to the city and to the team," Swift said. "I don't really worry about the cameras too much. I got a job to do every day… We're excited for the opportunity."
