The Chicago Bears aren’t wasting any time in officially locking up their 2023 draft class.
On Monday, the Bears announced the signings of three more players from their 10-man draft class. That brings Chicago's total up to seven signed draftees. Among those signed on Monday were first-round pick Darnell Wright, along with DT Zacch Pickens and WR Tyler Scott.
The terms for Wright’s rookie deal have been made official. The Bears locked up the premier offensive tackle on a four-year contract worth $20,968,267, according to Spotrac. That includes a hefty $12,249,648 signing bonus.
Bears general manager Ryan Poles has done well to sign the majority of Chicago’s deep class to rookie deals less than three weeks removed from the draft. The three players remaining without deals at the moment are DT Gervon Dexter Sr., CB Tyrique Stevenson and RB Roschon Johnson.
