Justin Jones must be protected at all costs. The Chicago Bears defensive tackle just became every Bears fan’s favorite player after sending multiple shots at the Green Bay Packers and their fan base.

What seemed like a calm Tuesday out at Bears minicamp quickly escalated into one of the most entertaining interviews of Chicago’s entire offseason. After practice, Jones spoke to reporters about just how much he can’t stand the Bears’ arch rival.

“They’re really shitty,” Jones said while describing Packers fans. “They’re just freaking obnoxious. Just yelling about all sorts of things that don’t even matter… half of them don’t even know football. It’s so weird to me.”

Jones didn’t stop there, however. Though he’s only played in Chicago for one season, his disdain for former Packers QB Aaron Rodgers runs deep.

“I wish he played one more year with Green Bay, honestly… I wanted to go back up there and I wanted to play them and I wanted to beat them and I wanted him to see it.”

It’s pretty safe to say that Jones won’t be greeted with a warm welcome when the Bears head to Lambeau Field in Week 18. Though much has changed within the NFL’s oldest rivalry, Jones’ mission remains the same – to defeat the Packers in front of their home crowd.

“I want to go out there and I want to beat the hell out of them on their field, and I want to hear the boos. That’s what I look forward to.”
