The Chicago Bears have wrapped up all organized team activities (OTAs) following Friday's practice that was open to the media.

The team will be back on the field next week for mandatory minicamp as the offseason program continues to roll on leading up to the 2024 season.

During practice on Friday, the team's offense had a bounce-back performance considering how the unit looked the last time the media was allowed at practice during the first week of OTAs.

The biggest play of the day involved rookie quarterback Caleb Williams hitting star wide receiver DJ Moore for a touchdown with safety Elijah Hicks in coverage during 7-on-7 drills. Following the play, Moore showed off a new celebration that Williams joined with him across the field. After practice, the team's social media account was able to provide everyone with a perfect view of the play in action. Here it is:

The Williams to Moore connection is just getting started and the team's top wide receiver is due for another career season during his second year in Chicago. During Friday's practice, the media in attendance also got to see first round pick Rome Odunze on the field with the rest of the starting offense, but veteran wide receiver Keenan Allen was once again not present at Halas Hall.

According to Zack Pearson, Williams "completed 13 of 14 attempts" during team drills, including the touchdown above that went to Moore. On one play during the session, Odunze also forced a defensive pass interference call against cornerback Terell Smith.

While it was nice to see the offense find their groove on Friday, there is an asterisk on the team's big day considering the Bears' defense was missing multiple starters in the secondary including cornerbacks Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon, and safeties Jaquan Brisker and Kevin Byard.

At the end of the day, Williams seemed to be much more confident in the offense during practice on Friday from what we've seen and heard out of Halas Hall. Head coach Matt Eberflus noted that Williams' footwork in particular looked much more improved this week compared to the first week of OTAs.

"Just understanding the plays and how his feet are married to those plays," Eberflus explained while addressing the media. "I think he really improved on that this week and you can see the ball coming out of his hand pretty live when his feet were right."

Williams and the rest of the team's offense will continue to take it day by day before becoming truly comfortable in the new scheme, but today was a much more inspiring day when compared to the one day of media access last week.
