Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow are the top two signal-callers in the NFL right now.

But which one is better?

Many will point to Mahomes' two Super Bowl rings and suggest he's the top quarterback in the NFL in 2023. A former NFL Pro Bowler, however, doesn't see it that way.

Former No. 1 overall draft selection Carson Palmer, a three-time NFL Pro Bowler, said this week on "The QB Room" that he thinks Burrow is the best quarterback in the NFL.

"I think Joe is the best quarterback in the league," said Palmer. "I know Patrick is phenomenal, but I just think Joe’s more consistent. He’s more consistent. He’s more accountable to run the system and the play that’s called and not feel like, “Well, he didn’t win last time and get open for me, so I’m gonna do it with my feet,” and then before you know it, you’re sacked for a four-yard loss because you tried to make two or three guys miss."

"Joe is just… talk about not having a weakness," added Palmer. "Mentally strong, physically tough, accurate, can throw it far enough, fast enough, gets the ball out quick, and then he can actually do a lot with his legs."

The Chiefs and the Bengals are set to face each other in 2023. For now, Burrow has a 3-1 lead in the head to head series against Mahomes.

But I'm sure Burrow would trade that 3-1 record for one of Mahomes' Super Bowl rings. If Burrow can defeat Mahomes head to head again in 2023 and then lead the Bengals to a win in the Super Bowl, you might see more folks start to agree with Palmer.
