It has been a wild recruitment for elite 2025 Manchester (Ga.) High School defensive lineman Justus Terry. The 6-5, 275-pound defender has spent time committed to both the Georgia Bulldogs and USC Trojans, before ultimately opening things back up. The demand has been heavy for the five-star, with a lot of prominent programs continuing to compete for Terry.
Terry is set to make an official visit to Alabama this weekend for their matchup against Georgia, both schools who are still in the thick of it for the dynamic defensive lineman. He is considered a consensus five-star recruit by every major recruitment platform. Terry ranks as the No. 7 overall player in the 2025 class both on the ESPN and Rivals rankings.
Blessed with incredible size and athleticism, Terry has the looks of a future high draft selection. As a junior, he was selected by a MaxPreps All-American. During that campaign, Terry recorded 78 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two pass breakups. That athletic profile, on top of the overall production, is a big reason why Terry is being courted by seemingly every program in college football.
After Terry decommitted from USC back in June, many speculated that he would eventually end up back up with the in-state Bulldogs. Some still believe that Georgia is the front runner but Alabama is also a team that can’t be ignored, evidenced by this official visit. If the Crimson Tide are able to go into Georgia for a player of this caliber, it would be a massive victory for Kalen DeBoer and his staff.
