When someone tries to tell you who they are, it's best that you believe them.

So while LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier was thought to be one of the best QBs the Alabama Crimson Tide would play all season, his game comes with a fatal flaw:

Turnovers.

It just so happens Alabama Crimson Tide DC Kane Wommack was preparing for that all along.

Alabama takes the ball away 3 times VS LSU

Nussmeier lost a fumble earlier in the completion, but it was the above interception that took whatever momentum the Tigers were building, and completely flipped it back in the Tide's favor.

Down two scores and in the red zone, had the Tigers scored, who knows what direction the game goes.

Instead, the interception by standout LB Deontae Lawson helped re-ignite the spark the Tide needed en route to a 42-13 victory.

But if you listened to DC Kane Wommack during the leadup to the must-win game, you knew that turning over an "aggressive" Garrett Nussmeier was a part of the plan all along:

"I think he's [Garrett Nussmeier] an aggressive player, right? Sometimes you live by the sword and die by the sword a little bit," said Alabama DC Kane Wommack when asked about limiting Nussmeier in the lead up to the game. "We're a team that is certainly going to be focused on taking the ball off of people. We've got to be able to show enough looks and pictures and change some things up. Put eyes on the quarterback. Play man coverage. Do all the different things to be able to create some confusion for really good quarterbacks."

The Tide did exactly that against Nussmeier. Not only did they confuse him on the Lawson interception, but all night long when you watched the game and saw a box score of three turnovers for the Tigers QB.

So credit Wommack for turning around a defense that after the second half of the Georgia game and Vanderbilt loss, looked to be in no man's land. That is now 13 turnovers in the past four games, with none more impressive than the three his unit took from the Tigers in Baton Rogue.
