It sounds crazy to say, but following his NFL Draft declartion, Jalen Milroe is officially a former QB of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
And while his situation didn't go as planned, there is still a lot of intrigue surrounding Milroe as an NFL prospect.
He has the chance to grow that intrigue after accepting an invite to one of the biggest pre-draft events:
Jalen Milroe accepts Senior Bowl invite
To my teammates, my brothers, thank you for the blood, sweat, and tears we've shared. The bonds we've built will last a lifetime. To Coach (Nick) Saban, thank you for believeing in me and instilling the standard of excellence in me. To Coach (Kalen) DeBoer, thank you for challenging me and helping me grow into the player and leader I am today.
To the entire Alabama family, thank you for embracing a kid from Texas and allowing me the honor of wearing the script 'A'. Representing this university has been one of the greatest honors of my life.

For Milroe and UA in general, the 2024 season didn't go to plan. After a strong start that included beating the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama was ranked as one of the best teams in the nation and Milroe was the favorite for the Heisman Trophy.
But things unraveled fairly quickly, with losse to Vandy, Tennessee and Oklahoma costing the Tide their shot at the CFP and lowering Milroe's draft stock. His most recent appearance against the Michigan Wolverines didn't help either, with Kalen DeBoer fielding questions postgame about benching Milroe.
"No, I didn't," said DeBoer when asked if he considered benching Milroe. "I just felt like, there's things he still did. We scored a field goal with him using his legs. We went 95-plus yards in less than a minute. Just that factor and what we needed with him and his mobility added to the run game. I felt like that was the swap right there. The interception early, you want, a lot of those incompletions happened in down and distances that weren't favorable or backs to the wall and have to throw to throw the ball at the end of the first half and at the end of the second here so I know that gets away from you from a completion percentage. But I thought there was a lot of good plays too. I saw the fighter. The fight in his eyes. As long as I see that I want to hang with the guys that this program means a lot to."
So for Milroe, the last week in January will be huge. He has a chance to elevate himself among some other notable QB prospects like Dillion Gabriel, Riley Leonard, and Jaxson Dart down in Mobile.
We'll see of if he can dominate on home turf.
