Hugh Freeze is out of town, and it’s Alex Golesh’s turn to steer the ship for the Auburn Tigers’ football program. Golesh, the former USF Bulls head coach, has never coached a major Power Four program. Having as many resources as he will have is something that makes what the Tigers are going to do a bit unpredictable, especially in the transfer portal.
Auburn is giving Golesh everything he needs to build a respectable football program, which is what should be in Auburn at the very least. He turned USF around and will now look to do the same with Auburn, with a revised NIL plan that pays players based on performance incentives.
The transfer portal is the biggest way programs with new head coaches can get back on their feet. The Tigers will surely use it to their advantage. So, let’s follow along all offseason as Auburn makes its moves.
