How to watch Florida Gators vs. Texas Longhorns: A loss could mean the end for Billy Napier in Gainesville
It’s a pivotal game for the Florida Gators and Billy Napier
It’s crunch time for the Florida Gators, as their 2025 season is in major jeopardy of becoming a disaster, and it’s not getting any easier for head coach Billy Napier and quarterback DJ Lagway. Saturday brings one of the biggest tests of the season, as the Gators are set to host the Texas Longhorns.
There is good news and bad news for the Gators. Let’s start with the bad news. This roster is injury ravaged across the board, especially on the defensive line. They also lost cornerback Dijon Johnson for a significant period of time to a meniscus injury. It’s a brutal time for the Gators, but they have young players ready to step up.
On the other hand, this isn’t the same Texas team that we were expecting. Quarterback Arch Manning has struggled on and off this season and hasn’t looked like the Heisman Trophy candidate that many predicted, as the offense hasn’t taken off. This is the biggest “test” that the Longhorns have had since they loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes in Week 1.
Can the Gators get the win? We will find out, because if they don’t, Napier could end up losing his job pretty quickly. Here’s how you can watch the game.
