The Florida Gators have a solid start to the 2026 recruiting cycle that is getting stronger as the weeks go by. Head coach Billy Napier has been heating up the Gators' efforts on the recruiting trail and it started by securing elite four-star linebacker Izayia Williams and just getting a commitment from four-star cornerback J'Vari Flowers, who reclassified to 2025.
The Gators have been working hard on securing visits from top prospects across the board and they are now in the top 10 for a pair of intriguing defenders.
Florida Gators make top 10 of intriguing North Carolina twins
The latest piece of recruiting news has the Gators in contention for two four-star defenders on the defensive line and they are twins from North Carolina: defensive lineman Aiden Harris edge rusher Andrew Harris.
The Gators are no strangers to having twins on the roster. Mike and Maurkice Pouncey were elite offensive linemen for the Gators when they won two National Championships under head coach Urban Meyer.
The Harris twins are two of North Carolina's best player,s and Aiden shines more than his brother Andrew in that sense. Aiden is the 44th-ranked overall player, fifth defensive lineman, and sixth-best player in North Carolin,a while Andrew is the 256th overall recruit, 30th edge rusher, and 14th-best player in North Carolina.
While neither player has visited the Gators yet, they did make the top 10 schools. They will be battling some powerhouse programs to secure their commitments:

The Gators have just three total commits in the 2026 recruiting class, but they are strong and have the Gators ranked 14th in the nation and 7th in the SEC.
