Six former Georgia Bulldogs earned a Super Bowl ring on Sunday after the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22, in Super Bowl LIX.
Those six Dawgs included defensive tackle Jordan Davis, edge rusher Nolan Smith, linebacker Nakobe Dean, defensive tackle Jalen Carter, cornerback Kelee Ringo, and safety Lewis Cine.
Of the six, Davis put on quite the show with two tackles and a third-quarter sack on Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Smith and Carter did not log notable stats on Sunday night, though they still gave the Chiefs' offense a very hard time.
Meanwhile, Dean was forced to watch from the sideline due to a knee injury that ended his postseason run early. He was, however, the team's lead tackler heading into the playoffs.
6 Former Dawgs Celebrate Winning Another Championship Together
What makes this win so special for this group of Bulldogs is that it comes four years after they won a College Football National Championship together.
"They have a tight-knit group," Jalen Hurts said of his Georgia Bulldogs teammates ahead of the Super Bowl. "Everything that they've gone through in college, all the success they've had in college, the rigorous process they go through as well, I know it's very similar to what I experienced at Alabama, and that creates a tightly knitted group.
"And so think they've been able to carry over some of those things and some of those experiences and some of that mentality to Philadelphia, and I think it's paid dividends for our success, especially on defense."
Georgia now leads every team in college football by having at least one player on the Super Bowl roster in 24 straight Super Bowl appearances.
