Former Georgia Bulldogs star cornerback Tyson Campbell is cashing in the big bucks with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Campbell is signing a four-year, $76.5 million extension which includes $53.4 million guaranteed.
Rapoport adds that Campbell's new deal now makes him the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history who has yet to be named to a Pro Bowl.
Campbell, the Jaguars' second-round pick (No. 33 overall) in the 2021 NFL Draft, was set to enter the final year of his rookie deal. He is now under contract through 2028 with his massive payday.
The best cover man in the Jaguars' secondary, Campbell has logged six interceptions, 30 passes defensed, 203 tackles and two forced fumbles through 43 games during his career so far. Following a breakout 2022 campaign, Campbell had a dip in production last fall due to a lingering hamstring injury, however, he is expected to bounce back in 2024.
Before making the jump to the NFL, Campbell racked up 86 total tackles, nine pass deflections, and a pick with the Dawgs.
