Former Georgia star wide receiver and current Los Angeles Chargers rookie, Ladd McConkey, logged his best game as a pro against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
McConkey reeled in five of his seven targets for 67 yards and caught the only touchdown of the game in the Chargers' 17-10 loss to Kansas City.
He also showed off his electric and shifty speed as he dodged Chiefs defenders for a 37-yard pickup in the third quarter.
McConkey has now scored two touchdowns while racking up 15 catches for 176 yards through the first four weeks of the 2024 NFL season.
His transition from college to the NFL has been smooth sailing and according to Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh, it's like he's already been playing in the league for years.
"He's just picked up the offense so easily. It's like he's been a four- or five-year vet," Herbert said, via ESPN. "He understands the game."
The Chargers traded up four spots with the New England Patriots in the second round to select McConkey with the 34th overall pick in this year's NFL draft.
The Chatsworth, GA native made the jump to the next level after hauling in 26 catches for 418 yards and a touchdown for Georgia in 2023. In total, McConkey logged 119 receptions for 1,687 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns through 29 games with the Bulldogs.
