The Georgia Bulldogs had a 73.9% chance to make the College Football Playoffs heading into Week 12's matchup against the Tennessee Volunteers, according to ESPN.
But after taking down the Vols, 31-17, at Sanford Stadium on Saturday night, their chances have spiked to 92%, though they still have work to do.
Georgia will close out their regular season against UMass and Georgia Tech at home and as long as they win both of those games, then they are locked into the playoffs.
As for the Bulldogs making it to the SEC championship game, that's where things get a bit tricky.
Georgia (8-2) currently sits in third place in the SEC conference standings behind No. 1 Texas (9-1) and No. 2 Texas A&M (8-2). The Longhorns and Aggies have just one loss (5-1) in SEC conference play while the Dawgs have two SEC losses and are tied with three other two-loss teams.
In order for Georgia to play in the championship title game then they need either Texas or A&M to lose a game that does not involve the one they face off in. In the one where they do play each other in the final week of the regular season, the Bulldogs need to root for the Aggies. That win would help knock off Tennessee.
Georgia also has to hope that Ole Miss and Alabama take a loss against one of their final opponents. That means Bulldogs fans need to be cheering for Florida, Oklahoma, Auburn, and Mississippi State over these next two weeks.
If Georgia doesn't make it to the SEC championship and they win out, they will still make the playoffs and more than likely host the first round with a 71% chance.
For now, the best thing is for Georgia to keep winning and let the rest play itself out.
