The Georgia Bulldogs (8-2) moved up just two spots in the latest College Football Rankings and now sit at No. 10 after taking down No. 7 Tennessee (8-2) on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Oregon, Ohio State, Texas, Penn State, Indiana, Notre Dame, Alabama, Miami, and Ole Miss all rank ahead of the Dawgs.
If Georgia were to hypothetically play in the playoffs today, they would be the 11th seed and take on No. 4 Penn State.

These rankings have, once again, ignored Georgia's overall strength of schedule and according to head coach Kirby Smart, are simply based on wins and losses.
"I think they value wins and losses. And so they place people based on a column, a column of wins and a column of losses, not on the eye test of going to watch them play and see them and see who they played," Smart said of what the CFB committee looks for following Tuesday's practice. "I just don't think they, I think they base it on wins and losses. I don't think they say, 'Well, this is better than that.' They just say, 'This record's better than that.' That's the most simple way to do it. It's not necessarily the 12 best [teams].
"…I'm not worried about it much. I've got to worry about our team and what we got going on."
While the rankings are a major slap in the face, Georgia's only job right now is to worry about closing out their regular season with wins over UMass and Georgia Tech.
