Georgia Bulldogs freshman quarterback Jaden Rashada is entering the NCAA transfer portal, according to multipleple reports.

This news comes just a few days after Rashada told reports that he "needed" this past year at Georgia to reset.

“Everything that I kind of had been going through and experienced this year, I learned a lot,” Rashada said. “I feel like I needed this year a lot, and it’s exceeded every expectation plus some more.”

Rashada spent only one season in Athens after transferring from Arizona State in 2023. He did not appear in a single game for the Bulldogs.

The former 4-star recruit from California initially committed to Miami before flipping to Florida and then ultimately ending up at ASU. He saw action in three games for the Sun Devils, including two starts, where he completed 44 of 82 passes for 485 yards and four touchdowns with three interceptions.

Rashada has three years of eligibility remaining and is the eighth Georgia player to leave in the transfer portal.

Now that former Bulldogs starter Carson Beck is headed to the NFL, the Bulldogs are expected to turn their attention to sophomore Gunner Stockton as their next starter.

Stockton logged his first career start in Georgia's 23-10 loss to Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl last week while freshman Ryan Puglisi was listed as the Bulldogs' backup.

Georgia also has four-star Ryan Montgomery and three-star Hezekiah Millender joining the team this spring.
