Georgia football isn't just playing host to several top 2025 recruits this weekend, but also to the No. 1 running back from the class of 2026, Savion Hiter.
Hiter, 5-foot-11, and 180 pounds, is the No. 1 overall recruit in the state of Virginia and the No. 26 overall prospect in the country, according to Rivals.com.
As a Sophomore at Woodberry Forest High School (Va.) Hiter rushed for 1,060 yards on 150 carries and scored 10 touchdowns. He also reeled in five passes for 91 yards and a touchdown.
In addition to Georgia, Hiter has 25 offers from other schools, including Alabama, Miami, Tennessee, Michigan, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon and Florida State.
Bulldogs rival Tennessee is reportedly in the lead to land Hiter and pursuing him hard.
Hiter is in no hurry to pick a school but will choose the one that best prepares him for the next level.
“It’s important for me to be at a school where I’m going to be used and developed as a running back,” Hiter said, via Sports Illustrated. “Where I can get my degree but also be prepared for the next level, which God willing is the NFL.”
And that could very well be the Georgia Bulldogs, who have produced 63 NFL draft picks under head coach Kirby Smart — the most draft picks of any coach in college football history.
