2026 four-star linebacker recruit Kenneth Goodwin has narrowed his decision down to five powerhouse schools.
According to On3, Georgia is still the team to beat on Goodwin's list — the others being Michigan Wolverines, Oregon Ducks, Texas A&M Aggies, and SMU Mustangs
Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 205 pounds, Goodwin is ranked as the No. 358 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 28 inside linebacker, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a composite that averages ratings from all four major recruiting services. He also holds the No. 32 spot among prospects in California.
Goodwin visited Georgia in March during the Bulldogs' spring practices. He had the opportunity to watch a session and came away impressed. In fact, the visit left such a strong impression that he named Georgia his top school.
“It was very intense but disciplined,” Goodwin said. “Their communication and how loud they yell out the calls stood out.”
Goodwin will head to Athens again, this time for an official visit on June 6.
His best high shool performance so far came during his sophomore year at Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2023, where he recorded 40 total tackles and six sacks over eight games, averaging five tackles and 0.8 sacks per game.
Goodwin's standout performance at the National Preps Camp in Las Vegas earned him the Linebacker MVP honors. At the camp, he measured 6-foot-1 with a 75-inch wingspan and ran a 4.68-second 40-yard dash, showcasing his athleticism and versatility.
He then transferred to Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, California.
