The Georgia Bulldogs have been on fire with their recruiting lately. Eight commits since the beginning of May. Three more shutting down their recruitment completely, going all in with Georgia in the last week.

Even when national "insiders" try and generate noise about players flipping or potentially choosing other schools, Kirby Smart and company still find a way to win recruiting battles. That's exactly what happened again this week with one of the most important commits in the 2026 recruiting class for Georgia.

Brady Marchese shut down rumors and sticks with Georgia

Brady Marchese has been committed to Georgia since early this spring, but there has been some serious buzz in recent weeks about him potentially flipping to other school(s) who were involved late in his recruitment process.

Marchese had become one of the most highly coveted wide receiver targets in the country thanks to his verified on-field speeds over 21 miles per hour and impressive production. Immediately following his commitment Georgia fans and experts were comparing him to Ladd McConkey thanks to his highly developed route running and shocking speed.

Despite all the rushing rumors through this past Tuesday afternoon that Marchese might be going elsewhere, the young wide receiver shut all of that down with one announcement saying, "Georgia is home. Go Dawgs."

This should be a huge sigh of relief for Georgia fans. The Bulldogs had one of the worst wide receiver groups in the country last season in terms of their drop rate (and production). Yes, Zachariah Branch and Noah Thomas (two offseason transfers) should help give the Georgia wide receiver group a boost, but the Bulldogs needed to find their next difference maker at the position. Marchese should be exactly that.

What made the news of Marchese's "all-in" announcement with Georgia even sweeter was that for the second time this week national insiders were completely silenced shortly after making negative predictions about Bulldogs recruiting.

On3's Steve Wiltfong had just announced an expert prediction (as you can see in the post below) for Marchese to flip to Michigan less than two hours prior to the complete opposite taking place. This of course was even funner because it so quickly followed last week's hilarious quote from the number one running back recruit in Savion Hiter ahead of his Georgia visit.

Thanks to Marchese's "shut down" of his recruitment Georgia fans can now feel confident in the trio of wide receiver commits that Kirby Smart has locked in for the 2026 recruiting class. Vance Spafford, Ryan Mosley, and Brady Marchese should make quite the impressive true freshman receiver group next year.
