The Georgia Bulldogs are expected to host former Alabama quarterback Dylan Lonergan sometime this week, according to ESPN's Max Olson.

"Alabama transfer QB Dylan Lonergan is planning to visit Georgia this week, a source told ESPN," Olson wrote on X/Twitter. "Bulldogs continue to explore their options in the portal QB market for 2025. The former top-50 recruit has 3 more seasons of eligibility."

Alabama originally signed Lonergan, a 6-foot-2 and 220-pound four-star recruit from Snellville, Georgia, as a member of their 2023 recruiting class.

Lonergan appeared in just three games during his two seasons with the Crimson Tide, completing 7 of 8 passes for 35 yards. He also rushed for 21 yards on two attempts.

Before college, Lonergan completed 63 percent of his pass attempts for a total of 7,851 yards and 71 touchdowns with 13 interceptions in high school.

With Carson Beck expected to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, the Bulldogs are left with Gunner Stockton, Ryan Puglisi, Jaden Rashada, and incoming four-star freshman gunslinger Ryan Montgomery competing at quarterback next spring.

In addition to Lonergan, Georgia is reportedly taking a look at Cal quarterback Fernando Mendoza and Charlotte quarterback DeShawn Purdie in the transfer portal.
