Georgia Bulldogs running back Trevor Etienne has officially decided to declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Etienne took to his personal Instagram account to announce his decision.
"It is with the deepest gratitude that l acknowledge God for orchestrating a path filled with opportunities that only He could provide. Playing at two prestigious SEC Universities has exceeded my greatest dreams and has only been made possible through His grace,” Etienne wrote in a note posted on his Instagram account.
“This journey would not have been possible without the unwavering support of my family. You have been there every step of the way, consistently offering encouragement and standing by my side. I owe everything to you, and I would not be the person I am today without your dedication and belief in me.
“To Coach Napier and the Florida Coaching Staff, thank you for believing in a kid from Jennings, Louisiana. My time at Florida was invaluable, and I am forever grateful for the staff’s dedication in pushing me to become the best version of myself, both on and off the field. The relationships l’ve built with my Florida teammates will remain some of the most cherished in my life.
“To Coach Smart and the UGA Coaching Staff, the past year has been an incredible journey. It means the world to me that you trusted in me and gave me an opportunity to provide immediate impact. Your culture of excellence has left a lasting impact on me, and I am forever better for my time in the Red and Black. My experience as a Dawg was nothing short of amazing. To my BROTHERS, we created a bond that goes beyond football, and I will remember those moments forever.
“Lastly, Dawg Nation, what a ride it has been! Words cannot describe what this experience means to me. Your unwavering support is crucial – thank you for welcoming me with open arms. This past year has been nothing short of amazing. Having the opportunity to play Between the Hedges and coming away with a SEC Championship is a story only God could have written and for that, I am forever grateful.
“This journey has given me the experiences and exposure to prepare for the next chapter. With that being said, I am excited to announce that I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft."
A former Florida transfer, Etienne played just one season at Georgia, rushing for 609 yards and nine touchdowns for the Bulldogs in 2024.
While Etienne will be missed, Georgia's running back room runs deep, starting with rising sophomore Nate Frazier.
Cash Jones, Branson Robinson, and Roderick Robinson will all be back, along with Chauncey Bowens and Dwight Phillips Jr.
